We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "Royal Glitter Bay Villas " in Barbados. From the moment we stepped on the property we knew it was going to be nothing short of amazing. We were met by a Fabulous lady " Nuru" who took us straight to the bar upon our arrival and we were served the most refreshing Rum Punch drink which is well known to the Islanders... She took us through the complex for a tour ,had our bags delivered to our rooms and made us feel like Royalty. What a beginning..
The Beach was Pristine. The first few days the red flag was up and I was dying to jump into the sparkling waters free of Seaweed... The flag turned to yellow and you couldn't keep me out of the water! It was simply Divine. The staff are the Best, they treat everyone with a high degree of respect. Whether you were looking for directions or an opinion on where to go for fun...anything, they are at your beck & call. We can even say that we thoroughly enjoyed the occasional seller coming to our lounger. They were extremely interesting and respectful of your time. You can get anything from the most amazing massage using a real Aloe Vera plant to shopping for local art and Jewellery.
The condo itself is Spic and Span and nicely decorated with a wonderful balcony overlooking the pool and some with ocean views. You can walk the beaches
both ways and meet up with amazing people from all over the world.
We spent our time soaking in the sun ,reading a book, walking along the beach . Sometimes we ate at the bar on the site and the food was very good. We really enjoyed the first night when you get to meet everyone that is staying at the condo , great conversations, food & drinks... some people had guitars and we had some sing alongs too. You will enjoy seeing monkeys on the premises and an occasional cat or two.
Once you leave the condo you can grab a cab, hop on a bus or even walk to certain places. We felt very safe. We both actually enjoyed hopping on the bus and meeting the local people who made sure we got off in the right place or told us about great places to eat and things to do.There is a market close buy and you can experience Barbados Grocery shopping. Some things on the shelf's you may never see again, that's for sure!
We hired a Chauffeur to spend the day with us and he took us around the entire island. This we highly recommend. One day we spent at the Fairgrounds where I am safe to say anyone who lived on the Island attended. It was delightful to see everyone all dressed up and having the Greatest time. There was everything from a Food Fair to local crafts ( lots of jewellery) Farm animals music etc. What we found to be most enjoyable was hanging out with some of the local people at the bar. You go over and buy a bottle of Rum for like $5 bucks and you take it back to your table and mix it yourself while sharing stories with each other.
We went to two amazing Golf Courses and actually had the honour of Meeting Sir Charles Owen William at World renowned Apes Hill. There is so much to see and do including the Oistins Fish Festival. You won't be disappointed if you like adventure and more than just lying around on a beach.
We ate at some Fabulous Restaurants. One was called "The Cliff" and the other "The Tides" We sat outside overlooking the ocean surrounded by incredible Lit Torches and were lucky enough to have seen a StingRay...
There is an abundance of things to do there and we enjoyed every single minute and would definitely go back .
We very much enjoyed all of the staff there, they were so friendly and down to earth.
We both highly recommend staying at Royal Glitter Bay and can assure you once you go "You will want to Go Back" !!! That is if you even want to leave.
Oh and we came home with the secret ingredients for their Most Amazing Rum Punch and 4 bottles of Rum ....and we never used to drink rum.

Our stay at Royal Glitter Bay exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment that we arrived and were greeted by Nuru we felt embraced with hospitality. The peace and tranquility of the Glitter Bay Estate did not waste any time in ridding us of the stresses of everyday life. The villa was equipped with everything we needed to feel most comfortable and well taken care of. Many days started with a walk on the beach and it was so relaxing lounging on the private beach or by the pool with a book with intermittent swims to cool off. It felt wonderful choosing to do as much or as little as desired. Restaurants and stores are conveniently located not far from the estate. The exceptional Nuru took care of any arrangements necessary when we chose an activity that interested us. By the end of our stay we felt rejuvenated. It was a lovely experience that we would recommend to everyone and we hope to experience it again someday.

"Fabulous Experience made extra special by Nuru (rental manager)"
We stayed as a couple for four nights from Boxing Day before unfortunately having to move on to Royal Westmoreland where we were meeting the rest of the family - hence needing a larger house so we could all stay together.
Firstly, I would like to stress one of the most important factors for such a special stay was the service we had from the rental agents Eden Resorts managed by the wonderful Nuru. I have stayed in many places where the service has been good, but Nuru pushes boundrys, she puts herself in the forefront without being overfamiliar, nothing is too much trouble, she was always willing to meet our requests and always with a friendly smile. She went out of her way to arrange for roses and champagne for my future son-in-law to propose on New Years Eve, even though we had then checked out..
After a painful hour of waiting for our cases at the airport, we were met by Derek, our transfer pre- arranged from the resort.. On arrival at Glitter Bay we were then personally greeted by Nuru and her team.. bearing in mind that it was 9pm on Boxing Day we thought this was a lovely touch. After walking us to our suite she gave us a brief introduction to the resort and asked if there was anything else we needed for the evening.. she then proceeded to secure a table at the ever popular Lonestar Restaurant arranging transportation through Derek as it was raining.
The suites are of excellent standard, clean, bright and having all that you need for your stay.. plentiful toiletries and another nice touch was the welcome pack and fresh flower arrangement on arrival.. Before leaving the UK I emailed Nuru as I was concerned that all the stores would be closed as it was Bank Holiday, I gave her a small list and she very kindly got me a few items from the supermarket . There is internet connection and a good sized television for those who feel the need to watch on holiday...The varanda has lovely views of the resort and its frequent visitors, the green monkeys. Glitter Bay itself lies in very spacious grounds and I personally think that this is one of the best beaches on the West Coast ( I have been on most) It is fairly wide, calm most of the time and also sandy on entrance to the sea.. bliss..
Bearing in mind we stayed at probably the busiest time of the year we didn't have any problems securing a comfy sunbed thanks to Rocky, who was always around to give a hand if needed.. The pool is also enticing, its clean and cool.. but who needs a pool when the beautiful beach is on your doorstep.. The bar area is good for drinks and snacks but I would also recommend Ju Ju's for lunch, a small walk along the beach, a very casual but tasty lunch menu.
We ate at Lonestar, Daphnes, Tides ,Il Tempio, Bajan Blue, The Fish Pot, Champers, The Mews ,Pisces and a Friday night fish fry at Oistens. If food is your thing then Barbados is the country to go to.. the standards are high and service is exceptional.. we were however disappointed in the food quality at Daphnes.
I would definately recommend staying here using Eden Resorts as I will always remember the personal service we recieved. .. Thanks again to Nuru - Cathy G. Jan 2012
From the minute I was picked up at the airport to moment I was dropped off I experienced excellent customer service from all of the staff. The resort itself was well laid out and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The condos were elegantly decorated, impeccably clean and well equipped with everything one would need. We particularly loved the large balcony overlooking the ocean. The service at the beach bar was always consistent and attentive. Great beach area! Lots of chairs and umbrellas available at all times. I would highly recommend this resort and look forward to the day I can return.

It's good to be back in the UK now(not!).
Thanks for all your help recently.
Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Glitter Bay - we had a really great time.
The apartment was lovely and the complex as a whole lived up to expectations - the weather was not bad either !!!
I would be interested in staying at Glitter Bay again in the future so please be assured that I will be back in contact with you again in this respect
Thanks again for all your help and please say hello to Derrick from us next time you see him
I am back in the office today - it was minus 3 deg C when I got in my car this morning and we had 4cm of snow overnight !! To say I am not pleased to be back is an understatement !!
Take care and hope to see you again soon

Just wanted to say a big thank you for looking after us so well last week. We had the BEST time, and I really appreciated your sorting all the extras at short notice, too.
During a recent two-week stay at Glitter Bay (22nd Dec to 4th Jan), we would like to send our thanks to Nuru Patterson. The apartment was perfect, and Nuru went out of her way to ensure our stay was special. We wil be back.

My husband and I stayed at RGB in March. It was our first visit to Barbados, and we had a fantastic time. The island was very interesting - and beautiful - and the facilities at RGB were excellent.
The primary reason for this email, however, was to compliment Nuru and her team who looked after us while we were at RGB and prepared the villa perfectly before our arrival. Nuru gave us suggestions about where we could go and where we might like to eat, etc. and arranged the best tables in every location.
